Our Story: From India to Canada

Blinglane’s journey began in 2014 with a clear purpose: to make stylish, meaningful, and gift-worthy jewellery easier to discover online.

In the early years, we focused on understanding what customers truly wanted from jewellery — not just shine, but emotion. A name necklace for someone special. A bracelet carrying a hidden message. Couple bands for long-distance love. Minimal earrings for everyday confidence. Jewellery that could say something without shouting.

As ecommerce in India grew, so did Blinglane. Customers discovered us through search, social media, gifting occasions, word of mouth, and product collections designed around real customer needs.

From 2015 to 2020, we expanded into personalized jewellery, love bands, Morse code bracelets, sterling silver jewellery, minimal jewellery, and curated fashion accessories. These categories helped Blinglane become more than a jewellery store — it became a gifting destination.

By 2021–2023, Blinglane had built a strong India customer base and a clearer brand identity: minimal, elegant jewellery with a premium feel, practical pricing, and thoughtful presentation.

In 2024, we began a new chapter in Canada. This expansion brought us closer to customers through pop-ups, retail experiences, local operations, in-person feedback, and a stronger understanding of the North American jewellery market.

In 2025 and 2026, our focus became sharper: improve operations, strengthen customer support, build clearer product pages, create better shopping experiences, and connect our India legacy with our Canada growth story.

The journey has not been perfect. No real business journey is. We have learned from delays, scaling challenges, customer feedback, production timelines, and cross-border complexity. But every lesson has shaped a stronger Blinglane — more transparent, more focused, and more committed to earning customer trust.

Meet the Founders

Blinglane is led by three founders: Saurabh Gandhi, Shikha Thakur, and Vikas Sharma.

Saurabh Gandhi

Saurabh brings deep ecommerce, operations, digital marketing, and business-building experience to Blinglane. His work has helped shape the brand’s online growth, customer acquisition, cross-border strategy, technology systems, marketplace understanding, and long-term expansion plans.

From website development and advertising to logistics, analytics, retail testing, and growth strategy, Saurabh focuses on building the systems that help Blinglane scale with discipline.

Shikha Thakur

Shikha is the creative heart of Blinglane. With a background in jewellery design and manufacturing, she brings product understanding, design direction, material awareness, customer empathy, and a sharp eye for everyday elegance.

Her vision shapes Blinglane’s product philosophy: jewellery that feels minimal, wearable, meaningful, skin-safe, and easy to gift. She understands that jewellery is not just an accessory — it often carries a memory, a promise, a name, a moment, or a feeling.

Vikas Sharma
